Seismic Retrofit

Fyfe Company’s initial Research and Development work focused on the use of advanced composites for the seismic retrofit of bridge columns in California. The success of the research led to the first FRP strengthening project for Caltrans in 1991. Further testing proved that the Tyfo® Fibrwrap® Advanced Composites were also a viable solution to reinforce many types of structural elements.
