Slabs
Dean and Deluca
Tyfo Fibrwrap Systems were able to work and design around the penetrations, and provide the required positive and negative flexural enhancement.
Central Avenue Bridge
The carbon-based Tyfo SCH-41 Composite System was utilized on the bottom side of the slab to strengthen areas lacking positive moment reinforcement.
Drake Library Slab Strengthening
The roof slab had to be strengthened in the positive, negative and moment areas using Tyfo UC Strips.
Fox Plaza
Corrosion at Balcony rail post locations was causing a dangerous spalling condition on this 20-story high rise. Concrete repair and Fibrwrap was used at each post location to prevent future spalling.
KBP Coil Factory
Roof strengthening using the Fibrwrap System. Awarded the "2003 Project of the Year" by the Rocky Mountain Chapter of ICRI.
La Jolla Galleria
Addition of a topping slab was going to overload the existing slab. Fibrwrap was used for strengthening.
Navy Pier
The change from a 30-ton crane to a 50-ton crane required flexural slab strengthening on this Navy Pier in San Diego. The Fibrwrap System was used to strengthen the slab for the additional capacity requirements.
Oregon Paper Mill
Additional strengthening on a two-way slab for both positive and negative moment due to overstressing of the existing slab.
Sears Lofts
This wharehouse was rehabilitated for a condo conversion in downtown Oakland, California. The two-way slab was strengthened with Fibrwrap for negative moment.
Wal-Mart La Mesa
The existing second floor slab was not sufficient to carry the loads from a newly installed storage racks at this Wal-Mart. The slab required various amounts of strengthening depending on the location and the loading requirements. Fibrwrap provided a fast and cost-effective solution.
Zorinsky Federal Building
The cutting of an opening for a new stairwell in this two-way waffle slab create a defficiency in the system. Fibrwrap was installed to provide reinforcement around the new penetration.
