The objective of this research project was to develop an effective rehabilitation scheme using CFRP to prevent brittle shear failure and improve the ductility of structural walls. Two different walls were built and reinforced in two different schemes. They were also tested in two different manners. Vertical and horizontal actuators were used to produce axial compression, shear forces, and moments. The report presents the results of this experiment, describing the test conditions and performance of the walls with the Tyfo Systems. The test results show that the implemented rehabilitation schemes using the Tyfo Systems were successful in preventing the shear failure, enhancing the wall capacity, and significantly improving the ductility of the walls. |
