Developmental testing on masonry walls strengthened with various Tyfo Fibrwrap Systems were performed. Eight tests were conducted on three wall specimens with the Wilfred Baker Engineering large shock tube. The testing was requested to gain experimental results to support design methodologies for masonry walls strengthened with FRP for use in blast resistant construction. The report presents the results of this testing describing the test conditions and performance of the walls without and with the Tyfo Systems. Individual components of the designs such as the FRP layer, anchor mechanisms, and shear strengthening techniques were proven very effective in almost all of the tests. |
