Fyfe Technology Center (FTC)
In 2005 the Fyfe Company opened the Fyfe Technology Center.
The Fyfe Technology Center’s Mission is to:
- Research and Develop of new products for the structural strengthening and repair market.
- Provide Research and Development on existing Tyfo® Products and Fibrwrap® Systems.
- To provide a centralized Center, which collects and distributes to Fyfe Group Companies information and best practice regarding all developments in the Structural Strengthening and Repair Industry.
- To produce in-house research reports and case histories on the Tyfo® Products and Fibrwrap® Systems
TYFO® Product and Fibrwrap® System Testing
Our TYFO® products and Fibrwrap® Systems have been tested and proven at hundreds of independent universities and accredited private labs throughout the world. These tests include structural, durability, corrosion, blast mitigation and fire-resistance studies.
Over 500 large-scale structural tests have been performed on the Tyfo® products and Fibre-wrap systems. In addition to these extensive laboratory tests, the Fibrwrap® Systems have performed as designed in major urban earthquakes in Taipei, Los Angeles, Seattle, San Salvador and China.
Environmental durability research, simulating 50 - 100 years of service life, have been conducted on all TYFO® products and Fibrwrap® Systems.
